The GATES "DUALUX" tube type dual program amp audio control console. This was produced with two versions of preamplifier, the early version used 5879 preamp tubes and the later production model used EF-86.

Before there were cart machines there was the GATES "SPOT TAPE" ST-101. It could record and play back 101 announcements up to 90 seconds in duration on one 13 inch wide tape. I have two of these in my personal collection. The manual is available for purchase on this site
